About this blog

As a journalist and blogger, I’ve written about celebrity trivia and travel, and everything in between, but this time it’s personal. I’m working my way through a few issues. The world is changing every day, I’m getting older (which is better than the alternative), and I’m just trying to keep up and find my place.

This blog is where I’ll be sharing my thoughts and my plans. I’ll be blogging — and sometimes podcasting and vlogging — about issues big and small — life and love, food and faith — with the hope of starting a discussion or two. I don’t want to get into any fights, but I’ll try not to hold back.

I’ve begun this blog because I’m at a crossroads in my life. I recently made the big decision to stop working full-time and explore a kind of freelance semi-retirement. That carries with it a lot of risks, but also many opportunities.

I know the internet is a crowded and noisy place, and perhaps there’s no room for the noise I want to make. I guess I’ll find that out.

While all that may sound like I’m going to vent my way through a mid-life crisis, I’m basically an optimist, and I hope that shines through here. Your feedback, in the comments section of each post and on social media, is most welcome.
